IT Admin/Support Specialist (Washington, District of Columbia 20002)

My company is seeking an IT Support Specialist to support our growing employee base. You will be an integral part of our highly collaborative Tech team, and have the opportunity to learn a wide variety of facets in the IT function.  We are working remotely during COVID-19, but ultimately, this position will be based in our Washington, DC office.

  • Be the primary point of contact for all helpdesk activities;  diagnose and resolve all requests in a timely manner
  • Responsible for technical onboarding and offboarding of personnel.
  • Plan and perform analysis of work processes; research and report trends and patterns for improvement & efficiency
  • Develop training materials and perform information system training sessions
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software
  • Perform backup and recovery operations; ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices
  • Perform OS and software patching
  • Assist in maintaining IT infrastructure in office locations as needed
Skills/Qualifications                                                                                                                                   
  • Comfort with both Windows & Mac environments
  • Experience with email and video conferencing tools - Google Workspace, Microsoft Exchange, Zoom, GoToMeeting or others
  • Mobile device management (MDM) - JAMF, DesktopCentral, etc.
  • AntiVirus - Sophos, Mcafee, Norton
  • Proficiency in MS Office
