TechOps Manager ~ 100% Remote in U.S. Our company is a financial technology company powering digital asset exchanges and brokerages worldwide. Through its secure, scalable, and customizable white label digital asset trading platform, we have enabled over 150 customers in 35 countries to launch and operate digital asset markets, as well as digitize assets. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior TechOps Team Member who will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that computing systems and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently. To be successful in this position you will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practices and evidence, a professional track record of effective technical management, information analysis, and a thorough understanding of computer hardware and software systems. Responsibilities
Managing the TechOps team by recruiting, onboarding and training employees, communicating job expectations and monitoring team performance
Manage 2 small teams in APAC and the US with two TechOps leads in each region (Plus, 1-2 EU based TechOps engineers)
Monitoring daily operations, servers, hardware, software, and operating systems
Coordinating technology installations, upgrades and maintenance
Purchasing new hardware and software for replacements to equipment
Ensure protection of data assets by maintaining strict security policies and guidelines
Testing, troubleshooting and modifying information systems to ensure smooth delivery of services
Generating performance reports for operating systems
Oversee all IT compliance activities and best practices are thoroughly adhered to (i.e. applicable laws, codes, and regulations)
Evaluating technology risks in order to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures
Remaining up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices
Skills/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
At least 4 years of supervisory/managerial experience
Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and services
Experience with computer networks, systems administration, network administration, and network installation
Proficient in computer hardware, IT support and security
Proficient in administrating Linux/Unix/Windows
Strong management and leadership skills
Resilient and quick to respond to client demands
Ability to prioritize tasks as necessary with a high sense of urgency
